Shannon M. Powers was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2016 after earning her JD from Drake University Law School, where she graduated with high honors. She served on the junior staff of the Drake Law Review and was named to the Order of the Barristers for outstanding oral advocacy.
Powers earned her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in 2013, graduating with highest distinction, with a major in psychology.
Prior to joining Lederer Weston Craig, PLC, Powers worked as an associate attorney for the Wertz, Dake & Anderson law firm in Cedar Rapids where she specialized in workers’ compensation.
Powers is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Linn County Bar Association. She also currently serves on the executive council of the Young Lawyers’ Division of Iowa and as secretary of the Linn Law Club Board. She is an avid runner, competing in several half marathons. She enjoys traveling and exploring with her husband, Andrew, and their two dogs.
