Kim Hardeman of Lederer Weston Craig PLC successfully defended a family owned farm implement dealership in a personal injury case which was tried last week in the Northern District of Iowa, Eastern Division. Plaintiffs alleged negligence arising from a tractor rollover incident which occurred at the dealership, resulting in injuries to Plaintiff. Plaintiff hired 2 medical experts and 2 liability experts all of which testified at trial. Plaintiff asked the federal jury for $2.8 million in damages including pain and suffering, loss of function, future loss of earning capacity and future medical expenses. The jury found Plaintiff 90% at fault and Defendant 10% at fault resulting in a total defense verdict.
